ABOUT TYLER BRYANT

Tyler Bryant was born to play music.

At age 7, he picked up the guitar and never put it down.  Under the guidance of local Texas blues legend Roosevelt Twitty, Tyler quickly commanded the instrument and began playing with a natural ability and depth of feeling that many guitarists fail to attain over a lifetime.

Now, at the age of 18, Tyler is a phenomenon – an extraordinary virtuoso electric guitarist, a singer, songwriter, a compelling stage presence, a burgeoning musical alchemist freely intermingling rock, blues, soul/funk and pop.
Tyler Bryant’s destiny is unfolding fast and in ways most people only dream about.

Tyler won the Robert Johnson Blues Foundation’s New Generation Award, recognizing him as one of the most promising guitarists on the music scene. He performed at Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago, recently recorded a new song, “Bittersweet,” with legendary Led Zeppelin producer Kevin Shirley, and was signed by Creative Artists Agency on the spot after one performance.

“It’s hard to believe what is going on,” Tyler says. “But then again, music has been the one thing I have always cared about.”  Now living in Nashville, Tyler Bryant is immersed in the very music that he is so passionate about, and is actively writing songs, playing shows, and working on his first record.

John Huie, of CAA, says it best.  “It has been a while since there has been someone who has the full package and can shred like Tyler Bryant.  At 18, it is clear that he has a bright future ahead.  With Guitar Hero, we have a whole new generation falling in love with the rock-n-roll heroes of their parents’ era.  This is about to change with the emergence of Tyler Bryant.”

ABOUT SICK PUPPIES

Even if you don’t know Sydney, Australia modern rock trio Sick Puppies, you’ve probably seen their groundbreaking “Free Hugs” video, which has garnered over 40 million views on YouTube and earned the band exposure on Oprah, Jay Leno, “60 Minutes” and CNN.  Their North American debut, Dressed Up As Life, validates the praise with a heartfelt collection of exultant rhythms, propulsive beats and choruses that span miles. It’s the kind of record that captures the beauty, pain and endless possibilities of LIFE.

The aching vocals, melancholy acoustics and triumphant guitar swaths of the Billboard top ten hit “All the Same” transcend even without the video. “My World” pinpoints the moment where epiphany turns regret into acceptance by juxtaposing layered instrumentation with bare, simple arrangements. And “Pitiful” combines start-stop blasts with brooding atmospherics, resulting in a song that’s both angry and undeniable.

“The record is an honest reflection of what we were feeling and going through when we were making it,” says singer and guitarist Shimon Moore. “There were times when we were really depressed and then suddenly we were happy. So these songs capture that whole rollercoaster ride.”

At this very moment, Sick Puppies are putting the final touches on their second album, an even more wide-ranging tour-de-force of distortion and melody.  With infectious tunes, a jaw-dropping stage show and equal doses of hits and hugs, Sick Puppies are striking a blow against the horde of faceless modern rock bands that are virtually all the same.
